Scuol Classics
Ode to Beethoven's 9th Symphony in its 200th anniversary

Olena Pognoievska had the honour of performing as leading choir singer and soloist in the 2024 edition of Scuol Classics, a classical music event taking place in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden, with the Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra & Chorus of San Francisco, conducted by Urs Leonhard Steiner.
The musical event paid tribute to Beethoven's 9th Symphony, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the composition of the famous musical masterpiece. Furthermore, the concert celebrated the 500th anniversary of the establishment of the Canton of Graubünden, in 1524.
In view of this special occasion for the Canton, the concert featured several songs in the Romansh language, one of the three official languages of Graubünden and the fourth official language in Switzerland.

Performance as a guest artist
Lyon International Piano Competition

Olena Pognoievska had the honour of bringing the final of the Lyon International Piano Competition to a close as a guest artist, as a culmination of the designation of the winner of the international piano competition.
During her performance, Olena was accompanied by pianist Noboyushi Shima, born in Hokkaïdo, Japan. She performed six beautiful romances of the renowned Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.
